"Georgia On My Mind:"
Celebrating the Music of Ray Charles"

Ray Charles, a Georgia native son, was an American treasure and musical genius. He transcended racism, cultural upheavals, and spread his music based on Gospel, Blues, Jazz and Country around the world.  He was a pioneer in the genre of soul music during the 1950s by fusing rhythm and blues, gospel, and blues styles into his early recordings.

Ray won every major award from the Georgia Music Hall of Fame to the Hollywood Walk of Fame...from the Kennedy Honors to a GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award and induction into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame (1986).

This show celebrates Ray Charles' treasured music and sentimental favorites with an exciting cast of award winning performers--accompanied by an orchestra of world-class musicians:

* Clint Holmes
* Take 6
* Kirk Whalum
* Nnenna Freelon
Boasting iconic tunes from the catalogue of the genius himself, the artists make each song a winning part of the magic that is Ray Charles' music.
