MURPHY FINE ARTS CENTER PRESENTS
MAYSA in Concert
PLUS
the Music of "Sassy" Sarah Vaughan
featuring Winners of the Sarah Vaughan
International Vocal Jazz Competition

Soulful, graceful, melodic, beautiful are all adjectives that have been used to describe Maysa, the songstress and Maysa's voice.  The uber-talented jazz/neo-soul singer is returning to Morgan State University, Maysa's beloved alma mater, at the Murphy Fine Arts Center to headline a showcase of "jazzy ladies."

This special night of music features three of the past winners of The Sarah Vaughan International Vocal Jazz Competition.  With voices that "speak" volumes and fan bases that are ever growing, these singers will offer up musical stylings reminiscent of the great "Sassy" Sarah Vaughan. We present to some--and introduce to others-- Ashleigh Smith (2014), Arianna Neikrug (2015) and Quiana Lynell (2016).
