The Morgan State University
Modern Dance Ensemble
"Celebration of Soulful Expression"
The Morgan State University Modern Dance Ensemble presents a one-night dance concert as part of the Black College Dance Exchange Dance Festival Saturday, April 8th.
One night only: this concert showcases diverse works by member schools from Historically Black College and Universities from across the country.
Special guest performers: Eleone Dance Theatre will headline the showcase
“Passionate, spirited, and totally urban” poignantly describes the Eleone Dance Theatre experience. Eleone Dance Theatre was established in 1995 by the late E. Leon Evans, II, by longtime choreographer and dancer and has been co-directed by Shawn-Lamere Williams and Sheila A. Ward, both founding company members, since 1998. Now in its 21st Dance Season, this multicultural, inter-generational dance company continues an encore to its 20th Anniversary Celebration by presenting works from its diverse and engaging repertoire that ranges from contemporary modern to rhythm & blues.
