Theatre Morgan presents
Flat Sam
Written by Antoinette Nwandu
Directed by Deletta Gillespie

Motherhood, war and loving enough to let go.

Inspired by The New York Times September 30, 2006 article, "When Soldiers Go to War, Flat Daddies Hold Their Place at Home" by Katie Zezima.

Antoinette Nwandu's award-winning play, Flat Sam, tells the story of an Army wife who brings life to the life-size picture of her husband which is given to the families of deployed soldiers. The cutouts called Flat Daddies or Flat Soldiers were to connect families of soldiers in Desert Storm.
